Boilermaker

Our client has a rare and unique opportunity to work on critical maritime projects, contributing to the maintenance of both commercial and Navy vessels at Garden Island. All this, and undoubtedly, some of the best views in the world!

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermakers for permanent full time roles, based at Garden Island in Wooloomooloo.

• Welding and Boiler fabrication
• Read and interpret shop drawings
• GMAW, GTAW and SMAW welding process
• Weld all types of metal, ferrous and nonferrous
• Working in confined spaces and on elevated work platform equipment

Essential Experience & Qualifications

You will be required to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance. Due to security clearance requirements, you must either be an Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Australian Residency.

Essential reuirements for this role include:

• Trade certificate in Fabrication / Engineering
• White Card
• RIIWHS204E - Work Safely at Heights
• RIIWHS202E - Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

In additioan, the following experience and licenses will be highly regarded

• Previous experience working on maritime vessels
• MIG & TIG welding experience
• Heavy Engineering experience
• Existing Baseline or NV1 security clearance
• Any additional High Risk Work certifications
